This policy explains what data this site touches, in plain English. The short version: very little, and none of it is sold.
What this site is
Mac n Cheese Finance is a static content site. There are no user accounts, no logins, no comment system, and no wallet connections. We never ask you to connect a crypto wallet to read our guides, and we never ask for your seed phrase. Nobody honest ever asks for your seed phrase.
Analytics with Matomo
We use Matomo, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to count visits and see which guides people read. Matomo runs on our own infrastructure, so your visit data stays with us and is not shared with an ad network. We configure it to anonymize IP addresses, which means the last part of your address is masked before anything is stored. We look at totals and trends, like "how many people read the wallet guide this week," not at individual people.
Cookies
The site itself works without cookies. Matomo may set a small first-party cookie to tell returning visitors from new ones. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, Matomo respects it. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings and every page will still load fine.
The contact form
If you use our contact form, we receive what you type, plus the email address you give us so we can reply. We keep messages only as long as needed to answer them, and we don't add you to any mailing list. We never share contact-form messages with anyone else unless the law requires it.
What we never collect
- Wallet addresses, private keys, or seed phrases — we have no feature that could even accept them.
- Payment details. Nothing on this site is for sale.
- Precise location data. Anonymized analytics shows a country at most.
